Compared with metallic cylinder, its advantages are as follows: its service pressure is increased greatly, leading to the larger capacity, while it is lighter by about 50%; it is more resistantto corrosion, more insulating, and more shock absorbing; and without the dangerof breaking into pieces, thus is much safer. It will provide protection forrespiratory system when fire-fighters and rescuers working in the severe circumstances full of smokes, poisonous gases, dusts, or in anoxia conditions.
